The Missouri State University Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team returned to Springfield as regional champions after participating in the SIFE USA Regional competition in Dallas, Texas on April 3. Usage of undergraduate scholarships expanded to graduate study
Missouri State University students who do not use the full value of their undergraduate scholarships will now be able to apply the balance to graduate study at Missouri State. The new policy is effective for the fall semester 2009. Read more...

University holds tuition flat for 2009-10
There will not be an increase in tuition next year at Missouri State University. The Missouri State University Board of Governors voted to keep tuition flat for 2009-10. The decision to not raise fees for the coming year is part of an agreement between Missouri’s four-year colleges and universities and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon. Read more...

Bears slip one spot to finish 11th at UMB Bank/Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate ClassicJay McBride
The Missouri State men’s golf team finished in 11th place at the UMB Bank/Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate Classic. The Bears shot 310 in the final round for a 54-hole total 923. The men finished three strokes out of 10th place, held by Wyoming. The 14-team field played on The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri, a par 72, 7,221-yard course. Read more…

Bears place fifth in conference play, Dolan named MVC Newcomer of the Year
The Missouri State women’s golf team completed its 2008-09 season with a fifth place finish at the MVC Championship. Competing on Lake Panorama National Resort a par 72, 6,081-yard course in Panora, Iowa, the 10-team field battled strong winds in the final round. The Bears shot 326 to slip one spot, finishing fifth with a three-day total 942. Read more… 

Baseball takes rubber game with 11-3 win at Evansville
Ben CarlsonThe Missouri State baseball team scored five runs in the fourth inning and added six more over the seventh and eighth frames after Evansville had crept within two for an 11-3 Missouri Valley Conference win. The Bears improved to 25-16 overall and 11-3 in the MVC, moving into a tie for first in the league with Creighton after the Bluejays and Bradley were rained out Sunday in Omaha. Evansville fell to 20-22 and 7-11 in conference play. Read more…

Oltman shuts down Bears as Creighton takes series with 4-0 victory
Creighton pitcher Tara Oltman turned in a five-hit shutout of the Missouri State softball team in a 4-0 CU victory in the rubber match of the Bears’ and Bluejays’ three-game series at Killian Softball Stadium. Read more…

Phillips topples school record in steeplechase again
Terry PhillipsThe Bears ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Drake Relays, one of the most prestigious track meets in the country. Sophomore Terry Phillips broke her own record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by finishing at 10:19.45, nearly eight seconds faster than her previous best. Her time was another NCAA Regional mark and placed her second in the event.  She also owns the fastest time in the conference this season for the steeplechase. Read more…

Football Maroon and White Scrimmage ends in 17-17 tie
Missouri State's final day of spring football practice provided some exciting moments for Bears' fans at Plaster Field as Jordan Chiles' 47-yard field goal on the final play of the day secured a 17-17 tie in the squad's annual intrasquad exhibition. Read more…
