 When the University celebrated 100 years of excellence in educating students, we were reminded that Missouri State alumni are significant contributors to the institution's rich history. During the year-long Centennial celebration, the GrandBear program was introduced as an avenue to recognize some of the University’s earliest graduates. The Alumni Association’s GrandBear program recognizes alumni who received a degree 70 years or more ago and/or has reached 90 years of age or better.
To be recognized as a GrandBear, one must meet at least one of the criteria listed above. Simply contact the Missouri State University Alumni Association to verify your year of graduation and/or date of birth by:
1) calling 417-836-5654;
2) dropping a note in the mail to the Missouri State University Alumni Association Office at 300 S. Jefferson, Suite 100, Springfield, MO 65806; or 3) sending an e-mail message to alumni@missouristate.edu.
Graduates who qualify as a GrandBear will receive:
- Personalized GrandBear certificate
- GrandBear medallion
- Recognition on the GrandBear web page
