Jordan Valley Innovation Center to be named for Congressman Blunt
Jordan Valley Innovation Center to be named for Congressman Roy Blunt
When Missouri State University’s Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) opens next spring, it will bear the name of U.S. Congressman Roy Blunt. At its December 15 meeting, Missouri State’s Board of Governors approved naming the facility the Roy D. Blunt Jordan Valley Innovation Center to honor the long-time 7th District Congressman. Year-end gifts to Missouri State
Are you planning to make a gift to the Missouri State University Foundation in 2006? You may personally bring gifts to our office through December 22. Gifts made by credit card will need to be received in our office by December 22. Our office, along with the rest of the university, will be closed December 25 through January 1, 2007. If you mail your gift to the Missouri State Foundation, 300 South Jefferson, Suite 100, Springfield, MO 65806, please be certain the envelope is postmarked by December 31, 2006. Gifts received in our January 2 mail bearing a December postmark will be recorded as December gifts. Mailed gifts with January postmarks will be recorded as January 2007 gifts. Gifts that are delivered in person when we reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd – regardless of the date on the check – must be recorded as 2007 gifts.

Tipin at buzzer beats Bears
A tipin at the final buzzer that required an extended review by game officials of television replay monitors to determine the outcome of the contest saw the Saint Louis Billikens get the call in a 51-50 basketball victory over the Missouri State Bears Monday night in St. Louis. The non-conference result left both teams 9-2 for the season. Read more...

Lady Bears defeat Oregon
Junior guard Tahnee Balerio scored a career-best 39 points to lead the Lady Bears to a much-needed 71-56 victory over Oregon December 16 at Hammons Student Center. The Missouri State Lady Bears will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule on Thursday, December 21, as they host the Western Illinois Westerwinds. Read more...

One of the most successful seasons in Missouri State volleyball history came to an end Saturday evening with a 3-0 loss to No. 13 Oklahoma in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Read more...

Thanks to Meyer Communications, KTXR 101.3 FM - The Gentle Giant, Computerland, and Missouri State University, you can now hear every minute of exciting action of Missouri State Bears basketball and Lady Bears basketball.
