Want to become a member?

Students are encouraged to attend and participate in a monthly information night to learn more about the Student Alumni Association. Once students attend an info night, they are welcome to apply.

Student Alumni Association Scholarship

The Student Alumni Association Scholarship is awarded annually based on the evaluation of a committee which may include the Executive Director of Alumni Relations, staff members of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, and Alumni Association Board members.

The committee will award one or more scholarships annually, and decisions will be based on the applicant’s scholarship application as well as extent of service and leadership with the organization.

How to apply

The SAA Scholarship application is completed online through the Missouri State University Foundation scholarship application system. For additional information, please email Alumni@MissouriState.edu.

Eligibility requirements

  • Active membership in the Student Alumni Association for a minimum period of one year.
  • Current full-time student at Missouri State University.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
  • Recipient must maintain active status in SAA during the scholarship award period.
  • Awards will be made without regard to financial need.
  • This fund will be administered without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, veteran status, political affiliation or sexual orientation.

Skyboxes at Plaster Stadium

Skyboxes are the perfect way to cheer on the Bears while connecting and developing relationships with alumni. SAA members are asked to work at least one Skybox per football season, and often times volunteer to work more than one throughout the year. We host alumni in the skybox suites, enhancing the sport fan experience for both students and alumni, and we can't wait to see you there!

Missouri State University opened in 1905. Bears everywhere are encouraged to join the annual celebration of all things maroon and white.

Dinner with Eight Bears

Dinner with Eight Bears are alumni-hosted dinners meant to be networking opportunities for alumni and students to share stories, experiences and future plans. Dinners are hosted twice a year in the spring and fall.

Be A Bear T-shirt

The Be A Bear T-shirt promotes school spirit and sales of the shirt supports the Be A Bear Scholarship. Each fall semester, students are encouraged to participate in a design contest for the Be A Bear T-shirt design with their original artwork that incorporates MSU's culture with the tagline “Be A Bear."
